Frontage trucks: should you use them or not?

Skateboard trucks are an essential component of any skateboard. They're the component of the skateboard to which the wheels attach. The wheels run through the skateboard on an axle, and the degree of turning and on a skateboard is largely controlled by the truck and its bushing. There are a few different types of trucks that can be found on a skateboard. One relatively new type of truck is a longboard truck, which reduces the degree of turning that is possible. This allows for faster and more stable skating. However, trucks can be loosened or tightened as required, with different adjustments allowing the skater a different type of control over their turning, or over their stability.

Another type of truck that is beginning to be seen on skateboard is a frontage truck. Frontage trucks still haven't quite made it into the skateboard mainstream, and there are a number of reviewers online who are dubious about the quality of frontage trucks for their boards. Many users who have purchased frontage trucks have complained about the stability of the trucks, and several have commented that their trucks have lacked stability, or in some instances that they have snapped after only a few hours of riding. If you tend to work your skateboard quite hard, you might want to look into several types of trucks before making a decision about what's best for your board.

Many users who have tried frontage trucks have complained about the fact that they haven't turned properly, and that they have had to replace the bushings and baseplates in order to get them to turn as desired. For this reason it's a good idea to consult with someone who's knowledgeable about the mechanics of a skateboard before you make any decisions that could affect the quality of your board and your ride. You may find that using inferior quality products can significantly reduce how well you can use your board, and this might have a negative impact on the durability of your board and how well it stands up against the pressure of daily use. This is particularly the case if you don't only do general skating, but prefer to do tricks or generally put your skateboard under some duress.
